This Cookie Policy explains how The Royal Countess booking platform uses cookies and similar browser technologies. It should be read with the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

Zingara manages personal information in a South African context under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA), and other applicable requirements. Different legal grounds may apply to essential service operation and optional technologies; consent is not presented as the legal basis for every essential function.

Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask a browser to retain. Similar technologies include local or session browser storage, authentication storage, service workers, Progressive Web App storage and push-notification subscription state.

These technologies can remember a choice, maintain a secure session, support installed-app behaviour or allow a feature to work across page navigation. They do not replace Zingara's authoritative booking, payment or ticket records.

Zingara uses essential technologies where necessary to operate the booking platform, maintain security and session state, preserve required platform functionality, support public and staff Progressive Web App or service-worker behaviour, and remember privacy choices.

Essential technologies are always active where genuinely required and cannot be disabled through Zingara's consent choices. Optional consent is not required for location selection, booking, payment, tickets, Find My Booking or necessary transactional communications.

Essential means technologies required for the service, security or a feature the visitor asks to use. Essential is always active where required.

Analytics means optional technologies that may help Zingara understand use of the platform and improve the experience. Analytics remains off unless enabled and the visitor gives Analytics consent.

Marketing means optional advertising or marketing technologies that may be introduced separately. Marketing remains off unless implemented, permitted and selected by the visitor.

Selecting OKAY acknowledges the notice and stores an Essential-only choice. It does not grant Analytics or Marketing consent.

Optional Analytics or Marketing technologies remain off unless a separate supported preference mechanism records the visitor's explicit choice. If the consent version changes after a material policy or technology change, returning visitors may be asked to review their choice again.

Ignoring the consent experience does not grant optional consent.

Zingara does not currently identify any named third-party analytics or advertising provider as active under this policy. Optional providers may be introduced only after they are configured, permitted and covered by the relevant consent category.

Before or when a future analytics or marketing provider is deployed, this Cookie Policy must be updated with accurate provider, purpose and duration information. Cookie Marketing consent is separate from email marketing subscriptions, SMS marketing subscriptions and necessary transactional communications.

Zingara's own consent preference is stored in the visitor's browser until that browser data is cleared, the visitor changes the choice, or Zingara requires review through a new consent version.

No third-party cookie duration is stated before a provider is implemented and accurately documented.

Visitors may also delete or restrict cookies and browser storage through browser or device settings. Blocking genuinely essential technologies may require preferences or authentication to be repeated and may affect functionality where technically necessary.

The complete booking experience remains available after the visitor acknowledges the notice with optional Analytics and Marketing technologies left off.
